Noelle Sharp is an artist and designer whose work explores the relationships between material, space, and the ways people and objects shape—and are shaped by—their environments. Informed by extensive research into global textile traditions through travel and lived experience, her practice blends digital jacquard and hand weaving to reinterpret inherited techniques. Sharp’s work bridges contemporary design with ancestral methods, examining how textiles function within both physical and cultural landscapes.

She earned her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2012. In 2011, Sharp founded APORTA Textiles, a brand dedicated to hand-produced textiles and accessories. She later expanded to APORTA Shop and now leads APORTA Design Studio, a multidisciplinary hub for design, branding, and creative direction.
